A common error candidates make is attempting to take a standard 200x230 passport photo and stretching the width to hit 350 pixels. This stretches your facial features horizontally, resulting in a distorted, unnatural image that the biometric scanner will flag. You must first crop your original image into a 1:1 aspect ratio (a perfect square) before resizing it. The final file size must remain between 20 KB and 300 KB. Since a 300 KB upper limit is quite generous, avoid heavily compressing the file; keep the resolution sharp and high-quality.

Sign your name broadly so it fills the center of the square frame. If you write a tiny signature and leave massive borders of white space around it, the ink will become illegible when printed on the attendance sheet.
